This paper proposes the study of the public hearings from qualitative empirical research accomplished through a field work. Then, from the concept of focused interaction proposed by GOFFMAN (2010), were observed and described the interactions that occurred in the public hearings at the Brazilian Supreme Court. The result of the research proposes a reflection about the transformation on the speakers of the public hearing in a privileged part in the judicial process by exercising the contradictory, although they are not author or defendant. What can change the conception about the reflection of who owns of the judicial process.
