This article is based on a previous research focused on the views of feminist women in the city of Salvador, Brazil, regarding the intervention of criminal justice towards gender violence. Considering the results of this research, we propose a discussion on its methodological choices. The argument is that a research that approaches the world views of subjects who are “outsiders” to the field of criminal law will potentially contribute to overcome the tensions between criminology and feminism.
